1. Quickly Remove Stains
Accidents happen. If you see a stain, tackle it right away.
Use a soft brush or sponge with lukewarm water and mild soap. Gently dab or brush the area. But be careful! Rubbing too hard can damage the fabric. Then rinse thoroughly and let the pillow dry completely before putting it back in place.
2. Washing
Not every cushion can be washed just like that, so always check the care label. Only removable covers can be washed. Preferably by hand or in the washing machine at a maximum of 30 °C. Choose a mild detergent and avoid harsh cleaners or bleach, as these can damage the fabric.
Then let everything air dry slowly, preferably laid flat or hung in a well-ventilated, shaded area. Never put the cover in the dryer, and don’t let wet cushions dry in direct sunlight, as this can cause colors to fade more quickly.
3. Protection and Storage
Outdoor cushions are exposed to quite a bit of wear and tear, especially during bad weather. That’s why it’s best not to leave them outside unnecessarily. Not even under a canopy. Store them in a cushion box, cover, or indoors as soon as you’re not using them. This goes a long way toward keeping them looking their best, especially during rain, unpredictable weather, or the winter months.
